Members present- Bill Burns, John Larson, Frank Orsella, Tony Schwartz, Amy Brown, Herb Lohse, Ted Lillie, Dan Rude, Larry Eberhard, Michele Willard, Rick Timm, Marc Cove, Stacie Penn, Patty Kamas, Angie Propp, Jack Burke, Rich McNamara, Ric Pace, Jasper Berg, & Craig Waldron.
New Business
Eggs N Issues questions – Rick Timm asked for all members to present questions for the event. Ted Lillie volunteered his team to present some questions as well. Please route your questions to Amy Brown. The Political Action Committee will meet to decide which questions to ask the panel. John Larson will be leading the panel in questions.
HEAT- Request from The Carol Mathey Memorial Child Care Center – Requested $500 to offset cost of a picnic on June 4th at 6PM. Marc Cove motioned to approve the request and Ted Lillie seconded it. Stacie Penn abstained from the vote.
June Picnic is schedule for the 10th of June. This is the last day of school so we are expecting a lower than usual turn out.
Bios and photos on all Board Members – Rick Timm has requested bios and photos of all of the board members. Please email to him.
Committee reports
City Report - Annual business appreciation breakfast – June 18th from 7:30 – 8:30 am at the Oakdale Discovery Center
2010 Streetscape Planting – 200 volunteers showed up on May 8th to plant trees, shrubs and flowers at the entrance of the Oakdale Discovery Center.
Oakdale Mall – we continue to progress with respect to the Oakdale Mall site.
Building Permit Valuation – through April exceeds $4.2 million.
McDonald’s Restaurant – considering a possible facility near Target off Hwy 5.
St Mary’s University – coming to the Crossroads building on I-694.
Gold Plate – discussion to seek a new chair person/team.
Networking – Tony Schwartz – Next event is July 29th.
Membership - Bill Burns is working to get the directories out there. Give testimonials if appropriate.
Treasurer – Jack Burke presented balance sheets and asked anyone who would like to look at the books to do so.
In 60 seconds – Jack Buckley – 2 spots open for July
Education – Stacie Penn – very successful May meeting with 5 scholarship awarded. She reminded us of the award ceremonies at Tartan and North High.
Civic Event & promotions – Ted Lillie – Oakdale Review comments
Speaker – Frank Orsello – no speaker for May or June.
